Volunteer Opportunities

As a community-based nonprofit organization, the Dream Cooperative values the time and resources individuals put forth to provide opportunities for engagement for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our Dreamers deserve to have a space to engage in their interests, build relationships with peers, and just belong! Employment Opportunities

Administrative Assistant:

Job description: The administrative assistant’s roles will be dictated according to their designated position, whether that be focused on finances and marketing, or client intake and overall operations. Other common responsibilities of the administrative assistant(s) will be answering emails and phone calls on-site, filing paperwork related to day-to-day operations, and helping with the management of business and client documents. 

Occupational Therapist (OT):

Job description: The occupational therapist will conduct comprehensive OT evaluations to collaboratively develop functional treatment plans that reflect client and family goals related to occupational participation and independence. They will also provide holistic client-centered therapeutic intervention to promote client progress toward mastery of established goals. The OT will maintain accurate documentation that is in compliance with ethical, legal, and funding requirements.

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA):

Job description: The COTA will provide holistic client-centered therapeutic intervention to promote client progress to master established goals in alignment with the client’s individualized plan of care. The COTA will work closely with the occupational therapist to monitor client progress and provide needed input to augment the plan of care as needed to better match the client's needs as they receive intervention. The COTA will maintain accurate documentation that is in compliance with ethical, legal, and funding requirements.

Speech Language Pathologist (SLP):

Job description: The SLP will conduct comprehensive evaluations (including AAC and language assessments and functional communication analyses) to develop individualized treatment plans for each client’s unique needs. The SLP will deliver therapy services to clients across diverse communication needs, while maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with ethical, legal, and funding requirements.  

Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA):

Job description: The BCBA will conduct functional behavior assessments, preference assessments, and skill-based evaluations to create and implement individualized behavioral support plans for clients to facilitate independence and skill development. The BCBA will provide supervision and direct coaching to RBTs on-site as they implement behavioral support plans. The BCBA will ensure documentation is accurate, ongoing, reflects client progress, and aligns with ethical, legal, and funding requirements.

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT):

Job description: The RBT will provide 1:1 implementation of behavioral programs for clients under the supervision of the BCBA. The RBT will collect real-time data during 1:1 time with the client to document progress and collaborate with the BCBA to modify the plan of care as needed. The RBT will maintain accurate documentation that is in compliance with ethical, legal, and funding requirements.

*Apprenticeship RBT program- 45 days of intensive, paid, on-the-job training  & BCBA supervision to become an RBT if not certified to prepare for the RBT certification examination. 

Direct Support Personnel (DSP): 

Job description: A direct support personnel will assist clients on-site with daily routines, as well as facilitate engagement in the courses that the client’s personal care plan dictates. The DSP will provide care, supervision, and companionship to clients as their individualized needs dictate. Direct support personnel can also contribute to operating workshops and keep the space organized and functional for daily use. The DSP will complete documentation as needed to remain in compliance with state and organizational guidelines.
